Book Puppy’s First Vaccination

Helping puppy put their best paw forward.

Puppy Pre-School is an important step in the development of a lifelong companion and helps your new furry family member become confident, well-socialised, obedient and relaxed in unfamiliar situations.

Between the ages of 8-16 weeks a puppy’s brain is developing fast and that is the best time for him or her to learn the best way to be a loving, friendly and well-behaved dog.

We also provide you and your family with all the information you need to raise a happy, healthy dog – for life!

We hold Puppy Pre-School classes based on demand.

Classes run for 1 hour, and each week you will have practice to do between sessions to reinforce the learning that your puppy has received.

We welcome all family members to come along and learn how to give the best life to your new puppy! (Subject to Covid-19 restrictions which may be in place.)

What to expect.

Bring the Family

Puppy pre-school is a family affair - it’s important for your new puppy to learn to respond well to all members of the family - to your puppy, you are their pack!

Children love to come along and learn about teaching the puppy. It gives them a sense of responsibility and involvement. It is a short commitment from you and your family to make the rest of your life with your new dog enjoyable.

Socialisation

We help your puppy become well-socialised around all sorts of other humans and dogs. It’s a great time for them to have lots of new and positive experiences and build their confidence.

We give them a range of experiences in a safe and friendly environment so that when they are out and about with you they will be happy and well -adjusted.

Positive Reinforcement

We use dog training principles of positive reinforcement and reward of good behaviours, while ignoring the undesired behaviours.

Your dog learns what it needs to do to receive a reward, and will work to please you, receiving positive reinforcement time and time again.

Health Management

We teach you how to keep your dog healthy, give you ideas for play and exercise with your dog, including training about basic first aid for your dog.

We discuss vaccinations and other health care options that are needed to keep puppy healthy. Importantly we give you pointers about what to look for to detect signs of illness early - assisting you to know when to bring them in for professional help.
