Familypet Vet was founded by passionate and dedicated veterinarian Dr Nick West. He had a dream of creating a place where animals in the Coromandel Valley and beyond could receive the best possible care and be treated just like ‘family’.
That dream became a reality and for over 34 years Dr. Nick’s vision has been upheld. With a modern facility, a team of skilled veterinarians and nurses, and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Nick’s legacy continues.
At Familypet Vet, we enjoy getting to know you and your pets personally. If there are ways for us to help you and your pet that we don’t offer we will find out or refer you to a specialist for the very best care.

Our fees are very competitive and we don’t believe in cutting corners. We only use the best surgical materials, anaesthetics, equipment and medication. Familypet Vet is also a member of the Australian Veterinary Dental Society.
